Description
In this new video I would like to talk about a very complex and interesting topic: guitar improvisation.
Knowing how to improvise well and with taste is the result of work that concerns many musical fields: a fundamental role is that of the so-called “Licks”.
By “Lick” we mean a simple melodic idea, part of the musical genre we are playing (most often coming from the tradition of the great masters), which we can use to improvise.
Starting from these simple ideas we can be inspired and build a personal phrasing that fits fully into the tradition and style of the genre in which we place ourselves.
Having a good vocabulary of licks allows you to tackle the complex topic of improvisation with extra help and a more reliable result.
