In this “Cordiario” appointment I wanna share a new original study that will allow us to explore new techniques and languages of the fingerstyle guitar.
One of the most typical characteristics of acoustic fingerstyle is the use of “open tunings”.
By changing the pitch of one or more strings of our instrument it is possible to obtain new and unique sounds.
In this case I use the “Open C” tuning which, as the name implies, will make us play a C major chord using only the open strings.
The atmosphere this tuning creates is truly evocative and dreamy.
